Milk and Motherhood Lactation LLC

Owner & IBCLC

Hi There, my name is Meghan Giampaoli and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Prenatal Nutrition Educator. I am trained in reflex based oral function, oral habilitation and oral dysfunction such as tongue, lip, and buccal ties. I am a low milk supply specialized healthcare professional, and trained extensively in bottle refusal. My philosophy is to teach families the in’s and out’s of breastfeeding while giving mom the confidence to be able to go home and independently feed infant without concerns. I have had the opportunity to complete 500+ hours of lactation training in a hospital setting, NICU, pediatrics, outpatient clinic and private practice setting. I currently assist families on all their lactation needs across the world by both in home and secure telehealth consults.

Meet the Consultants

Alexa Marler, IBCLC

Alexa Marler is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science, and a mom of two. Her journey into the world of breastfeeding began during her undergraduate coursework when she discovered the incredible benefits of breastmilk. From that moment, she knew supporting families on their breastfeeding journeys was her dream career. While studying for her IBCLC board exam, she faced her own breastfeeding challenges with her daughter and realized just how essential accessible, compassionate lactation support can be. Her goal is to provide the guidance she wished she had, helping parents navigate the ups and downs of breastfeeding with confidence and care. Alexa is based in Yuba City, CA for in person care and telehealth worldwide.

Kate Copeseeley, IBCLC

Previous to becoming an IBCLC, Kate was a peer breastfeeding counselor for six years, which gave her a wide experience in breastfeeding challenges and how to solve them. In 2025, she completed extended Lactation Training and passed the IBLCE exam to become a Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Locally, Kate leads weekly lactation support groups, and teaches breastfeeding classes. She also provides free education via social media to help parents navigate breastfeeding in their own lives. She is a proud supporter of La Leche League and is one of the leaders of the Norcal Lactation Coalition, partnering with local providers and community groups to help more parents meet their breastfeeding goals. Kate is serving families in Chico, Ca and surrounding areas for in home and telehealth services.

Marty Olsen, IBCLC

Marty Olsen is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping families reach their breastfeeding goals. Marty completed her clinical hours at Stanford Children's Hospital where she saw an incredibly wide variety of cases, from NICU babies separated from their parent, to bottle refusal, and everything in between. She specializes in prenatal care, latching, supply concerns, and has a heart for serving families in unexpected difficult situations such as separation from their infant. Marty always strives to provide evidence based lactation care delivered with compassion. Her family is her heart - she and her husband live in Folsom with their four beautiful daughters, all who were exclusively (but not always easily!) breastfed. Marty provides in home support in Folsom, Ca and telemedicine support worldwide.

Angela Beedle, RN, IBCLC

Hi, I’m Angela! I’m a NICU nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), mom of five, and grandma of two with a deep passion for maternal health and nurturing the breastfeeding relationship.

My heart for this work began with my first baby. Those early weeks were filled with latch struggles, milk supply worries, and an unexpected season of exclusive pumping. I remember feeling overwhelmed and discouraged, wishing someone would look at me and say, “You’re a great mom, and these bumps in the road don’t mean you’re failing.” That experience shaped my commitment to ensuring no family feels alone, especially in those tender early days.

Today, I walk alongside families through every stage of their feeding journey, from prenatal preparation and those first newborn latches to exclusive pumping, supply concerns, and realistic back to work plans. I also help facilitate a local breastfeeding support group, where I have the privilege of cheering on an incredible community of moms and babies.

My approach is evidence based, judgment free, and centered on meeting you exactly where you are. I’ll troubleshoot with you, celebrate your wins (big and small), and help you build a feeding plan that fits your life and family. I offer both virtual and in-home visits, and it would be an honor to support you during this special season.

Makayla Bowne, IBCLC, Doula

Makayla began her career as a doula, where her passion for perinatal care and advocacy first took root. Inspired by both her professional experience and her own journey as a first-generation breastfeeding parent, she became an IBCLC. Since 2019, she has supported families spanning inpatient stays at Corewell Health-Butterworth hospital, to private virtual and in-home consultations. With specialized training in oral habilitation, bottle refusal, and pumping support(including flange sizing), Makayla guides families in making informed, confident decisions about infant feeding. As a wife and mother of two boys, she blends clinical expertise with a deep understanding of the "real life" challenges parents face, striving to help families feel supported and joy with meeting their goals! Makayla is based in Grand Rapids, proudly serving families across West Michigan in home, or virtually.
